Peruvian Kuntu whole-bean coffee, in a 250 g bag, is 100% arabica with no additives. Choose beans if you have a grinder and want to adjust the grind to your coffee maker just before brewing.
Taste profile: dark chocolate, dried fruits, roasted notes. Round and full body, subtle acidity — the signature of a dark roast.
Which grind
Espresso: fine grind. Moka pot: fine to medium. Filter and V60: medium. French press: coarse, 4 minutes infusion.
Where it comes from
Rodríguez de Mendoza, Amazonas region, northern Peru, on the eastern slopes of the Andes. The coffee grows at high altitudes, on small family farms — the producer speaks of "years of coffee tradition" passed down from generation to generation.
Altitude does most of the work: the cooler it is, the longer the cherry takes to ripen, and the more sugars the bean accumulates.
Cultivation without chemicals
The producer states that he grows his coffee without the use of chemicals, using methods that preserve the soil and waterways of the valley.
We prefer to say it as he does: it is an agricultural practice, not a label. This coffee does not carry organic certification, and we do not present it as such.
